Because, you know, I’m trying to age as gracefully as I possibly can! Turning 30 earlier this year did freak me out a little I must be honest, rather than worrying about it I decided to just do as many small things as I could to *hopefully* slow down the ageing process but more importantly to take care of my overall health and well being.

Here is a list of my ten changes I’ve made recently – some I started implementing in the lead up to my birthday to help ease the stress a little!

  1. Drinking my ‘pink drink’ every day. AKA Collagen. I have a fizzy drink every day that contains 500mg of Marine Collagen. So good for skin, hair, nails and overall heath! Also doesn’t hurt that I love the taste. You can get it here

  2. Retinol. I am obsessed with retinol and now that I’ve stopped breastfeeding I use a retinol treatment on my face 2-3 times each week at night. My fave ones are these

  3. I switched to a natural deodorant. This was something I had been meaning to do for such a long time but I could never find one that worked well for me. After sampling a few this year I’ve found my favourite and you can get it here. You do have to buy it from the USA but it is reasonably priced and has free shipping!

  4. Digestion tea every night. I did this years ago and found it really helped with bloating so I’ve started drinking it again each night while I unwind for bedtime. It’s becoming one of my favourite parts of my evening routine! I one I drink is just from woolies and you can get it here

  5. I switched my pillow case from cotton to silk. I may be slightly paranoid here, but I sleep on the same side every night and I’m SURE the side of my face I sleep on has deeper wrinkles than the other?! So just to be safe I’ve switched to a silk one as I have read so many great reviews on them. Also great for waking up with perfect hair in the morning! I love this one

  6. I started moisturising my entire body. Sounds so simple, right?! But I was so guilty of neglecting the rest of my body besides my face and neck. I was too lazy and to be honest thought it was a bit of a waste of time. Now I’m hoping I’m not too late and my body won’t resemble in lizard in years to come!

  7. Blue Light blocking glasses. I was lucky enough to get to collaborate with Baxter Blue at the end of last year and got to test out a pair and they were a total game changer. I spend far too much time looking at screens every day so it makes me feel good knowing I am taking care of my eye health. You can get a pair here and I also have a code ‘CHLOE’ for 10% off!

  8. Meditation. I honestly never thought this one would be for me until last year when my anxiety was at its worst and I was willing to try anything to help relax me. I download and the Calm app and started meditating at night just before going to sleep. I find it so relaxing and I fall asleep within 10 minutes every time!

  9. My diet. I’ve always been quite conscious of what I eat but lately I rarely eat any red meat and occasionally will have some fish. Basically I binged watch so many Netflix documentaries and decided to give it a try. Last year I also switched to Almond milk as I drink so many coffees each day I was worried I was drinking about 1 litre of cows milk which surely cannot be great! I lost about 3kg in the first month of making the switch and now I cannot even notice the difference in taste. I buy the barista blend Almond milk from Coles.

  10. Water intake. Again, something I have always made a big effort to ensure I get enough H2O everyday. I feel really terrible when I don’t drink enough water and also notice a difference in my skin. I slacked off towards the end of 2019 so this year I decided to purchase a 1litre water bottle which has a time tracker on it as I find using one of these bottles really helps me. I refill it twice each day so overall I’m drinking 3 litres of water daily and I love it. I use this bottle from Amazon and I highly recommend!

And thats it! I wish I could add I make sure I get at least 8 hours of solid sleep each night but with a baby and a 4 year old I’ve got a better chance of finding a unicorn!

I’d love to hear if you have any other health or beauty tips that could help with the ageing process!

Chloe xx
